This summer, the BEAR is opening its doors to a high school student who's ready to do real work in the real world of arts and community.
You'll be part of a small, dedicated team bringing art to life in Bath County — hanging exhibitions, supporting events, working alongside artists and neighbors, and getting a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to run a nonprofit arts organization. It's hands-on, it's varied, and it matters.
No experience needed. Just curiosity, reliability, and a genuine interest in art, people, or both.
Grades 10-12th · Part-time (8–12 hrs/week) · Stipend · June & July 2026
The BEAR is a place where art gets made, ideas get loud, and young creatives find their people. We're looking for high school students who feel that pull — toward a paintbrush, a camera, a stage, a page, or something they haven't even named yet.
This internship is your invitation in. You'll work alongside our team, explore what inspires you, and discover what it actually looks like to build a life around art.
This form takes about 10 minutes. Our director, Sage Tanguay, will personally read every application and reach out to set up a one-on-one interview. We're genuinely excited to meet you!Former Customer
